what's the point.
Living in America, we are free. Free to choose, or not to choose. This is the foundation upon which the country was built. However, this freedom is not always appreciated by those who live in the land of opportunity. Sometimes, I wish that my life was planned out for me. No wondering “what could have been” because this is what is set and this is what is happening. But if everything was...

I run..
because I can.
because it’s a challenge.
for the feeling of accomplishment.
for those who are not able to.
because I now have awesome calf muscles.
because it’s a rewarding experience.
because when I fall into a rhythm, I feel like I can run forever.
because it feels great.
for the team.
because I feel infinite.
because it’s a religion.
because it’s something I...
Into the Wild
This summer, I read Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. Examining the summer reading list, I quickly brushed aside the fiction books filled with vampires, aliens, and superhumans: I was drawn to this novel because I was looking for a story I could learn from. I wanted to read something real. This book tells the story of Chris McCandless, a youth fresh out of college who in 1992 left everything behind...

Today I made my pesto for pestomania this coming saturday. I made two batches, one carefully measured and chopped, the other thrown together from leftovers. I also experimented with some nutella. Tonight at the fun run we ran a 1.5 mile time trial. I stayed with KK and got 11:05; 17 seconds faster than goal time. Then Megan, Michael, Dan, and I ran to valley singing disney/show tunes at the top of...

New
I made two new tumblogs. One is entitled nevergrowup, because, quite simply I do not want to grow up. It’s a series of images from my childhood that I do not was to forget. I also made one to keep track of my dreams.

Running
Running has always been really hard for me. It’s definatly not my forte. When I was in elementary school we would do the dreaded mile run in gym class. It was during these gym classes that I discovered I had a benine heart murmur that hurt when I ran. It was bad enough that I could barely complete the mile, now I had a heart murmur that prevented me from doing so. Sitting out while other...

Mark Hamill
I had a bit of a Star Wars marathon while I was at my friends house taking care of their animals (just to get to the last episode and find the DVD was MIA). This got me wondering where the actors from the original cast were today; and more specifically what Mark Hamill looked like. Did he retain his boyishly good looks? I expected him to be like his co-star Harrison Ford who hasn’t changed at all....
France: Day 6-16
Sunday June 27th-July 6th
On Sunday morning we stayed for service and sang our own rendition of ‘Jesus Loves Me’. Seeing as the entire sermon was in French, I had to fight to not fall asleep. We said our goodbyes and then took a high speed train to Taize. If I could, I would stay on that train forever. Seeing the French country side zoom before your eyes like you’re floating was...
France: Day 5
Saturday June 27th
On our last day in Paris we toured the Lourve and then Muse D’Orsay. At Muse D’Orsay Ally bumped into Ryan Seacrest. She literally bumped into him. Unfortunately Katie and myself were off looking for where they went.

France: Day 4
Friday June 26th
Friday was a day of walking, shopping, and churches. To begin the day we visited a stunning church called San Chapel. The entire room was stain glass. When you walk in the only thing you can think is wow. That day, after navigating through pickpocketers, we went to Sacre Coeur. It wasn’t very impressive. Nothing could be after San Chapel.
France: Day 3
Thursday June 25th
On the third day we first went to Versailles, the out of town palace. The first thing you see when you walk up to it is an enormous golden gate. You know it’s going to be extremely luxerious. We toured part of the downstairs and the upstairs. Then we entered the gardens. There we ate lunch and I had a greek panini and the best strawberry ice cream. Next we walked...
France: Day Two
Wednesday June 24th
We arrived around 7AM and met up with Jessica who had been in Paris for a few days before us (and who had Justin Timberlake on her plane!). We piled on a subway with all our luggage, and walked a very long distance to arrive at our new home for the next five days: a very small protestant church in the poorer suburbs of Paris. There we met the pastor, I believe her name was...
France: Day One
On June 23rd to July 6th I went to France with some kids from my youth group. As much as my mom badgered me, regrettably, I did not keep a journal during my stay. This is for me, I don’t want to forget anything.
Tuesday June 23rd
At 12:30PM we all piled into a van and a car and drove to Boston airport. The flight, AirFrance, departed around 6pm. On the plane I watched Slumdog Millionaire...
Hello World
I decided to take a page from Lolliblog’s book and start writing more. She’s hilarious and a great writer. No more reblogs of random pictures from ffffound.com: I’m starting over. This is the journal I could never force myself to begin. These are my thoughts and my life as I live it.
